waiting for the PERFECT paper to scrap it!

I love this vintage/ shabby chic style of scrapping!
I have been experimenting with it more and more
and I absolutely ADORE this page!
I just love the wings on my sweetie!

I used grungeboard wings, that I painted white and
then covered with white doodlebug
Velvet Flocking Powder!

First Day of School

Today was the 1st day back to school for my kids!
They were so excited with their new hair do's, clothes & back packs!
Julianna is in 5th grade this year, so she is feeling pretty SPECIAL
to be the oldest in the school!

It was bittersweet watching them run off with their friends
this morning..... I am happy that they are going back,
but I am sad that another summer is coming to a close.
Every year when school starts, it is a reminder to me
of how much my kids are growing up.....
they are not my little babies anymore & I have to let go....
at least a little bit!!

The good news??
I am pretty sure that an *almost empty* house means
MORE SCRAPPING TIME!!

Oliver when he was 5 yrs old.

days, he is dressed as a pirate.
I created this page because I want to remember

I just love them!
Annie looks so adorable, and I love that her hair
is finally long enough for pigtails!

"Crowning Achievement"This picture was taken for the
Mother's Day mini album I made for my mom.
I love it this picture!!!
It is so rare to get all my kids together for a
photo and have them all happy!

Anyway- I am a SAHM.
We have chosen for me to stay home and take care
of these precious kids the best that I can.
I do not have a job or a career- my life is about mothering.
This is my crowning achievement in life!

This first page I made for the August challenge over at

I found a great sketch by Becky Fleck (Page Maps)
that I used.
I love the way this came out- I used the July kit from 2SCD-
"Nesting" full of Chatterbox, Scrapworks & Prima! YUMMY!
There are still a few of these kits left- hurry over and get one!

This page I actually just made for fun!
I was in the mood to create a collage type page.
I absolutely love this pic of Annie-
so I started with that and went from there!
(and of course I threw in one of my
handmade ETSY flowers for advertisement!)

Feeling Scrappy!

Well here are a few pages that I have completed recently,
I just haven't posted them yet!!

The first one is one of the pages I made for the MMM contest,
but in the end, it didn't make the cut! Compared to the other pages,
it seemed a little lacking in style.
I really love the page though-
featuring my sweet baby girl, Annie holding her daddy's hand.
I found a poem on the internet about
holding daddy's hand and thought it fit perfectly!

These next 2 pages- "American Pelicans" & "Spring"
were made for the July page reveal for
2 Scrappy Chix Designs!!

We have kit reveals on the 15th of every month

Lastly- "Lifelong Friends"
I made this page for an ITTY BITTY SCRAP SHACK challenge

We had to create a page using NO pattern paper!!
I had a lot of fun with this- I used trims and a sticker border
to give the page more texture and color!

SHHH.... it is another one of my secrets.....

I have been buying kits! Lots of kits and I can't seem to stop!
So many clubs are coming out with
AMAZING Kits
and I want them all!
YIKES!!
